The postprocessing pages

This page and all below are still under construction! But lots of informations are available now.
So please have a look!

This pages will replace the old PINGO web-pages. Because PINGO is not able to solve all the problems that appear in postprocessing. The NetCDF format, Byte swapping from little to big endian and vice versa and a lack of speed make it necessary to use tools to prepare the data for PINGO or use other tools that will be able to work with NetCDF or are faster.

The pingo package pages contain all about the PINGO package. With an online-list of all functions and their usage. An introduction in English and German is available too..

The cdo (climate data operators) pages gives you informations about that tool. An introduction will come soon. Notice, that this tool is still under development. The current version is 0.87

The afterburner page contains the documentation about the current afterburner version.

The special tools pages deal about wgrib dkrz_readgrib, the extra Bausteine, STOMPP, and the big-little endian converter extra and serv.

The cdat will contain informations about cdat, cdms, coco and python.

The graphic page links to GrADS, vcs (cdat), and vtk pages.

A summary of all available documentation is listed here.

If software is free and can be installed on local workstations you can download it.

The examples pages will list solutions for some known problems using the best available tool.
