The PRISM Support Initiative (PSI) is a multi-institute distributed network of experts from European research centers that organizes the maintenance, user support, and further development of the PRISM software.

The initiative is based on contributions from its partners without external funding.

Within PSI, M&D has engaged itself to lead two of the PSI work groups (WG):

The Standard Compiling and Running Environment (SCE/SRE) WG4 has the scope to maintain the PRISM modelling infrastructure for compiling and executing Earth System (ES) models and to continue its development according to the requirements from the ES modelling community. The second WG7 has the scope to develop a 'Data management, Diagnostics, Visualisation' infrastructure for archiving and analysing the model results.
